"It's All in the Details": Part II! As a follow up to our last post, in which we shamelessly confessed our love of napkin rings, we thought we'd show you some of our seating card ideas. Seating cards are a key (and super cute!) detail that you don't want to overlook when planning your wedding. They offer a great opportunity to add a personal touch and to make your guests feel special. We've executed 5 seating card possibilities (out of approximately 683 -- how do you do it, Pinterest?). Enjoy!
1. Embrace the Ombre
We achieved this look by painting our cards with some good, 'ole watercolor paint. You could also dip dye your cards.
2. Slip it into a Sand Dollar
The little slits in these sand dollars are just the right size: you can slip a seating card right in there. If you're dreaming of a seaside or nautically themed wedding, this option is for you!
3. Add a Sprig of Something
We used a hole punch and some raffia to tie a bit of wax flower to the seating card. These are super simple to make, and they create a really personal feel. You could also tie a sprig of rosemary, eucalyptus, or, really, anything that floats your boat.
4. Clothespin It
Probably the second easiest thing you could do with a seating card (next to just sticking it on the table): clothespin it to your guest's drinking glass! Cute, easy, done and done.
5. Tie on a Tassel
This is a pretty full on project, but we repeat: it's all in the details. If you've got crafty hands, this seating card option is for you. We used embroidery floss and probably had too much fun choosing the colors.
There you have it: 5 seating card ideas for your wedding (or, actually, any event), some simple to create and some more involved. Let us know what else you'd like to see us try out!
Cheers, flower friends.
